The Role

The Legal Operations Manager will help support the execution of the organisational vision of the Function to be a high-value, scalable support function to the larger Sonnedix group, which continues to grow and evolve. The Legal Operations Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to the EVP, Global Head of Legal and Compliance and will be primarily responsible supporting the EVP in all matters related to the effective and efficient management of the Function’s resources, systems, and initiatives in order to optimise and reduce legal spend and to drive Function efficiencies. 

Accountabilities to include but not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, manage, and drive the process and systems to track project and function budgets and to optimise, reduce spend, and leverage past project data to better predict future project legal costs.
  • Help ensure the Function is responsive to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner, which involves organising and maintaining a schedule for the Function to meet all deadlines and working with other parts of the organisation as needed to ensure the department is responsive to internal and external demands.
  • Implement Function knowledge centre including, internal legal research and form library and contract execution & expiration log.
  • Manage outside counsel training process. 
  • Work closely with the EVP to:
  • identify processes and procedures for improvements in Function work-flow management with a focus on standardising, improving and streamlining business processes.
  • set annual management objectives and operational goals for the Function.
  • work with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain talent for the Function, including ensuring that new hires are successfully integrated.

Applicants must be degree educated with previous experience working within a Legal/Finance or Operations department within a corporate/professional services environment; within an international company. Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions within the Solar industry would be highly advantageous but not required.
